We really didn't know what to expect and were happily surprised about the park. We did the driving tour which really isn't a long distance, but took us over an hour because we were constantly stoppi… Full review by Bruce S

Nice interpretive center, helpful Rangers and a couple of films to watch. The 8 mile loop takes probably 45 minutes if you don’t stop too much lots of good. The park is not that far Tucson. Full review by advcards

The interstate goes right through Tucson and the NP has both a west and an east section. Either one is only about 30 to 45 min. max from the highway to the visitor center in each section …

Either one is only about 30 to 45 min. max from the highway to the visitor center in each section Try putting in your map app on a smart phone - Tucson to the Red Hills Visitor Center (West part of the NP). You'll get a good number that is likely in that range.

East is the more interesting drive to me. West had the museum if you like to see the desert creatures.
