アルカトラズ島には船で行きます。 ツアーのみで行けるそうで個人ではNGのようです。 大変人気のあるツアーです。 島全体が監獄になっていて、「監獄島」とも呼ばれる「アルカトラズ島」。 独房などそのまま残っているので、雰囲気がすごいです。 もう60年以上機能はしてなくても、伝説があると観光地になってしまうものなんですね。 ken-kanekoによる全レビュー

名だたる極悪人を収容していた刑務所です。アルカポネも収容されていたそうです。 サンフランシスコのピア33からフェリーで約10分程です。 刑務所の音声ツアーは各国の言語が用意され十分に楽しむことが出来ます（日本語有）。 映画の舞台としてよく使用され、直近では某ゾンビ映画の舞台にもなっています。 映画のシーンを思い出しながら、且つ刑務所としての歴史を学べ充実した時間を過ごせました 5MXNによる全レビュー

Hi, we want to do the Alcatraz tour. Is it best to do the day tour, the night tour or is what you see - make it worth doing both?

We only did the day tour which was great, basically stay as long as you want and get the boat back when your ready as you are free to roam the jail and the island.

There are a lot of places that sell tickets, but unless you go through City Experiences, you are paying extra for unnecessary fluff. They are the official NPS-designated ferry and you will ride their ferries no matter who you go through. You'll just pay more if you don't book through them.
