We queued for 3 hours to get tickets on the day as we couldn’t book on-line due to an unsecured network! Organisation was poor with no shelter provided by means of canopy, old and young really strug… Full review by Billcando1

A truly magnificent palace. Well worth the visit but give yourself 3-4 hours to enjoy the gardens too Really enjoyed the visit. Worth hiring the audio guide though Full review by Sue W

We have timed entry tickets for 17:30z. Are they strict about the start time or can we go an hour early?

I’m not sure - they might put you to one side if the time is on yr ticket as they have set numbers going in at set times. On the other hand they’re might be no-shows at the earlier time …

On the other hand they’re might be no-shows at the earlier time but I think that’s unlikely. It would be horrible if you queue earlier and they then make you wait. I suppose that’s why they give people time tickets.

Nel dubbio ho inserito i dati della mia carta di identità. Voi cosa avete inserito?

Shorts are fine and we went wearing them. Take ID or book in advance as we didn’t realise we needed to show passports or driving licence to gain entry

I am sorry we went at lunch time, so didn’t take notice. Leave 2.5 hours to wander round and Book don’t go on spec
