We visited the museum on a Sunday morning. It was not too busy. There is an interesting pre exhibition and then you enter a mock up of the caves. We found it interesting and worth the trip. Full review by LuxTraveller
Hi, Do Santander taxi, train or bus drive to the Museo de Altamira? Which one would be convenient? I am not planning to drive a car to the location but would be happy to take public transportation... Any idea for the cost to get there on a taxi? Thank you, Vitaliy

Sorry, we stayed nearby so didn’t need to check this out. Also, if you did change your mind about driving, there is a big car park there, which was not clear from the publicity!
