When does the bus from the main port town on San cristobal leave to the highlands in the morning? Does it go as far as the Galapagos? I heard 7am? And where do you catch it and how much does it cost? Anyone know? Thanks

I spent 3 days on San Cristobal and never saw or heard of a bus. It's all taxis. What you want to do is hail a taxi in town and for $30-40 the taxi will take you anywhere you want to go …
I spent 3 days on San Cristobal and never saw or heard of a bus. It's all taxis. What you want to do is hail a taxi in town and for $30-40 the taxi will take you anywhere you want to go for 3-4 hours. That's enough to do the tortoise station, el Junco, and Playa Chino...pretty much all there is to see in the highlands. Back in town, don't miss the interpretive station/frigate bird hill/snorkeling in the lagoon there. Good luck!
