Large NWR with good flat trails. We saw lots of birds, deer, antelope, and a bobcat. Be prepared for ticks and chiggers. Wear good walking boots for thorns etc. the wildlife drive is closed to autos,… Full review by Tom O

Our tram ended early this year due to planned construction on the tour route. Birding tours on a bus end April 7. Call us for more info or to make a reservation for the tour. 956-748-3607
What progress is being made on survey work and a land transfer necessary to begin constriction and reopen the wonderful Bayside Drive to private vehicles since the January 2017 announcement?

according to the guide, she stated the closure was indefinite. the reasoning was because a number of protected ocelots had been killed by traffic going faster than this listed speed limit.
