Actor Ashley Judd and singer-songwriter Aloe Blacc have helped the Biden administration promote its new national strategy to prevent suicide.

Ashley Judd and Aloe Blacc visited the White House on Tuesday to promote the Biden Administration's newly formed National Strategy for Suicide Prevention and federal action plan, speaking candidly about the deaths of Judd's mother,

Both artists talked about losing loved ones to suicide in the event hosted by Doug Emhoff, husband of VP Kamala Harris.

The White House said some 132 people die by suicide every day in the United States. The celebrities working with White House have lost loved ones who took their own lives.

Ashley Judd discussed her late mom, Naomi Judd, and her own mental health journey at the launch of the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention.
