A man suffered “significant injuries” after a grizzly bear attack near Elkford on Thursday, the B.C. Conservation Officer Service says. According to a Facebook post Friday (May 17), the man was hunting around 2 p.m. when he was attacked by the bear. He was able to use his firearm in self defence and then called for help after the bear ran away.
