On 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,' Ethan Hawke talked about starring in Taylor Swift’s “Fortnight” music video alongside his longtime friend and former 'Dead Poets Society' costar Josh Charles.

Ethan Hawke’s teenage daughters were apparently less than impressed that he appeared in Taylor Swift’s music video for “Fortnight.”

Hawke shared how he ended up in the “Fortnight” music video while guesting on a segment of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Ever since making the 1989 movie, alongside the late Robin Williams, he and Josh Charles have been friends for life. It sounds like they had an absolute blast together on the set of the video. As he continued:

"It's a little tip of the cap to 'Dead Poets Society,' other tortured poets," Charles said of starring in Swift's music video.

Taylor Swift runs a tight ship. Following their surprise Dead Poets Society mini-reunion in the pop star and Post Malone's "Fortnight" music video in April, both Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles opened up in separate interviews about keeping their cameos a total secret from everyone - including their kids.

Josh Charles is singing Taylor Swift 's praises. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the 52-year-old actor gushed over Swift after appearing in her "Fortnight" music video.
