Sen. Schumer pushes Senate vote on right to birth control bill
Senate Democrats were voting Wednesday on a bill enshrining the right to birth control amid a widening Republican-led rollback of reproductive rights. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said the Right to Contraception Act is a “simple bill” to protect reproductive rights as conservatives move to outlaw abortion and put in vitro fertilization and birth control in question.
