Bacardi Two Bottle Rum Collection You will receive Bacardi Superior Rum 750ML Bacardi Gold Rum 750 ML Bacardi Superior Rum is the original Bacardi rum, dating back to 1862 when Don Facundo Bacardi Masso purchased his first rum distillery in Cuba. 150 years later, Bacardi Superior is now manufactured in Puerto Rico, but the recipe remains largely the same.A unique strain of yeast discovered in the Cuban sugarcane fields is used to produce Bacardi Superior rum. The rum is filtered through charcoal, a process pioneered by Bacardi, before and after it is aged in oak barrels for at least one year. BACARD SUPERIOR Before Don Facundo rewrote the script, white rums were harsh, crude and unrefined. In 1862 he created BACARD SUPERIOR following 10 years of dedication to craft the perfect rum.Tasting Notes:With distinctive vanilla and almond notes which are developed in white oak barrels and shaped through a secret blend of charcoal for a distinctive smoothness. Bacardi Gold rum is manufactured in Puerto Rico where it is distilled from fermented molasses. It is then filtered through charcoal and aged in charred oak barrels for between 1 and 2 years. Bacardi's official logo, a fruit bat, dates to 1862 when founder Don Facundo Bacardi found fruit bats living in rafters of the building he bought to house the distillery. Bats are considered an omen of good luck in Cuba and have emblazoned Bacardi rum bottles ever since. BACARD GOLD is expertly crafted by Maestros de Ron BACARD. Its rich flavors and golden complexion are developed in toasted oak barrels and its mellow character comes from being shaped through a secret blend of charcoals.
