An auto-off function helps conserve power by turning off after 5 minutes of disuse when the unit is operating on battery power. This feature can be disabled however by the user if it's not needed. The scale also has a 3-key operation with an on/off, unit, and tare button. The scale's convenient tare function can be particularly helpful as it allows you to easily weigh products and ingredients while still in the container. This AvaWeigh scale has a removable, stainless steel 6" x 6" weighing platform with a beveled edge for easy cleaning and maintenance.
